Job Description
The African Academy for Professionals (AAP) is glad to present a new training on learning Employability and Job Readiness Training (Class & Online (Distance Learning)) for Students or Graduates looking to enter the workforce (Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), businesses & public institutions) and individuals interested in these skills.
About the Training
This training is planned to provide you with job readiness and employability skills including understanding and responding to job advertisements and selection criteria, writing application letters and resumes/CV’s and developing interview skills for job seekers.
It will provide context-oriented examples of advertised positions, response criteria to address, templates for preparing for job interviews and tips to assist you to return or inter to the workforce.
Training Outcomes:
- Assess the recruitment and selection process from an employer’s point of view
- Interpret an advertisement, job description and selection criteria confidently and correctly
- Model a well-written job application (resume and cover letter)
- Plan for a job interview

Day 1: Understanding yourself and the job market.
- Understanding the dynamics of the job market
- Getting to know yourself and the type of career that will suit you best
- How to articulate the skills you need for a career that will really suit you
Day 2: How to master the job application process
- How to write CVs, cover letters and your LinkedIn profile
- Learn how to smart search plus advice and tips
Day 3: How to become interview confident
- Preparing for interview
- What to do during and after face-to-face interviews
- Dealing with interview outcomes

Who is the training for?
This training is aimed at job readiness and employability trainees and graduates looking to enter the workforce, it also applies to job seekers in the broader community looking to increase their confidence and success rate when applying for work as well as employability training providers.

Fee: $20.00 USD
The fee is $20.00 Per participant except Students $15.00 (inclusive Trainer Incentive, Refreshment, Papers & Certificates). For groups of 4 and more, 1 will be free.

Training Facilitator
Hassan G. Mohamed is career and employability expert over five to six years of experience. He worked as Youth coach, mentor and life skills and job readiness facilitator for both NGO’s and education institutions. He have deep understand of how Somaliland labor market works and future trends of Employability skills. Hassan is a Youth coach certified by Aflatoun International.
